Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Neuro Telemetry located in Phoenix, Arizona. The position involves providing high-quality patient care on a neuro and telemetry unit with a required 12-hour daytime shift schedule. Candidates must bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details

Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts
Schedule: 12-hour days, with a minimum of 36 hours per week; four weekend shifts required every 8-week period; holidays included in permanent holiday rotation
Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification; minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; neuro experience highly preferred; EMR experience with Cerner; ability to interpret electrocardiograms (EKG); must be willing to wait for license to submit
Preferred Qualifications: Neuro-specific experience, Cerner Electronic Medical Record system familiarity
Additional Information: Fast-paced, high-turnaround unit; EMTs utilize central monitoring; bed capacity of 32; patient diagnoses include tracheostomy, cerebrovascular accidents, traumatic brain injury, spinal surgery, encephalopathy, ESRD, psychiatric issues, and brain tumors. Titration of drips such as Heparin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin is required. The unit operates without hospitalist or intensivist in house; IV team available for difficult sticks; pharmacy accessible 24/7. The unit supports bedside reporting and float to overflow tele units and ICU.
