Job Summary:
An Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Freeport, Illinois. This clinical role involves providing specialized nursing care within the surgical department. Candidates are required to bring their Illinois nursing license on the first day of assignment. The position involves working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on general and specialized surgical cases.

Job Details:

• Location: Freeport, Illinois
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Required Qualifications: Illinois RN license, relevant OR experience of at least 2-5 years (considered less with a strong candidate), current certifications as listed
• Schedule: 10-hour shifts that rotate to cover late discharges, with a schedule planned 4 weeks in advance for 6 weeks. On-call coverage for holidays and approximately one weeknight call per week. 24-hour call on Fridays every fifth weekend.
• EMR System: Meditech
• Additional Information: On-call coverage for holidays. No scrub color required; scrubs are provided. Department-specific orientation of 1-2 weeks with a preceptor.
• Experience: Relevant operating room experience preferred, with scrubbing required for non-RN staff when applicable.
