Description

Job Summary:
The Operating Room (OR) Specialty, Open Heart (OH), position is based in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves working in a high-acuity environment within the cardiovascular preoperative unit. Candidates are required to bring their licensure on the first day. The position offers a schedule from Monday to Friday, with shifts from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, minimum of 36 hours per week.

Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); experience in Critical Care; preferred Preoperative (PreOp) experience; proficiency with Cerner electronic medical records; excellent documentation skills; ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity patient area; strong communication with interdepartmental teams; critical thinking skills.
Additional Qualifications: Experience with BCMA; ability to operate within scope of practice; familiarity with large-bore IV starts, skin assessments, assist with arterial, central line, and epidural placement; capable of transporting patients to operating rooms, assisting with induction and intubation, positioning, and skin preps.
Additional Information: The unit features new equipment and technology, with an experienced team and flexible schedule options. Prioritize candidates with critical care experience and excellent communication skills.
Float: Float rotation may be required within scope of practice and experience.
