Description

Job Summary:
A reputable healthcare organization is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a travel assignment in Carlsbad, New Mexico. The position requires providing high-quality emergency care in a Level 3 Trauma emergency department. Candidates must bring their license on the first day of work. The RN will be responsible for performing assessments, administering medications, and delivering safe patient care in accordance with hospital policies and state regulations.

Job Details:

  • Location: Carlsbad, NM
  • Specialty: Emergency Room
  • Schedule: Nights, 6:30 pm - 7:00 am, 12-hour shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications including ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course); 2+ years of ER nursing experience; current license; must be registered with the state of New Mexico for fingerprinting process, which can take several weeks
  • Additional Information: Call required 2 hours prior to shift start; patient ratio of 4:1; floating may be required; no scrub color specified; EMR system is MedHost (EDIS); fingerprinting for all travelers is mandatory and only submitted candidates from agencies registered with the state will be considered; blocked scheduling, RTO blackout dates, and guarantees are not approved; maximum of one RTO request per schedule, with 6-week scheduling blocks.
  • Experience: 0 years minimum, with a preference for candidates with 2+ years of ER nursing experience.
