Description

Job Summary:
A registered professional nurse is sought for a position in the Cardiac Interventional Unit located in New York, NY. The role involves providing safe, person-centered care through the application of nursing theories, evidence-based practices, and institutional standards. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment. The position primarily supports a high-reliability, quality-focused clinical environment with a patient census averaging 2 labs.

Job Details:

Location: New York, NY
Schedule: 11.5 hours per shift, Day Shift from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with weekends required
Required Qualifications: NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); minimum of 2 years of telemetry and Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) experience; at least 2 years of RN experience; 1 year of travel experience for travel positions (not required for Per Diem); Epic electronic medical record experience highly preferred; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; Associate degree in nursing considered with relevant experience or active BSN program enrollment
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Cardiac Interventional Unit and CATH LAB setting
Additional Information: The unit has an average census of 2 labs and operates under staffing guidelines of 1 nurse per 3 beds on 12-hour shifts. The role involves performing charge nurse duties, coordinating supplies, ensuring resource utilization, facilitating patient throughput, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
