Description

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor (MS) Registered Nurse Utica, New York. This role provides medical-surgical nursing care for adult patients in a unit serving post-surgical needs. The position requires float support and familiarity with specialty equipment used in patient care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

Schedule: 6:30a7p with 12 shift hours; minimum hours per week: 36.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
Required Qualifications: Active New York RN license(s) and NURSYS license verification; current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS); up-to-date resume documenting medical-surgical experience and travel experience; drivers license with an address that matches required demographics; skills checklist matching specialty; electronic medical record (EMR) experience with EPIC.

Additional Information: Unit: MS (Medical Surgical Floor). Patient diagnoses commonly include post-surgical care needs such as abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fracture, back pain, and morbid obesity (bariatric surgery). Specialty equipment includes IV pumps and NG tubes, as well as feeding tubes. Block scheduling is not promised or guaranteed.
