Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) Tallahassee, Florida. The role supports emergency care activities in a fast-paced Emergency Department, providing safe, efficient nursing interventions for patients of varying acuity. The position requires strong multitasking and throughput focus, including assistance with emergency lifesaving procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification; RN license (license must be brought on the first day)
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • None listed
  • Responsibilities:
    • Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department
    • Perform emergency nursing actions aligned with unit workflow and patient rounding expectations (30 minutes to 1 hour patient rounding and bedside shift report)
    • Support team-based throughput and multitasking in a high-volume environment
    • Assist with intubation and emergency lifesaving procedures
  • Additional Information:
    • Unit environment includes crash carts, Level One crash-level equipment, Alaris pumps, and bedside cardiac monitors
    • Documentation is completed using MediTech
    • Scheduling requirements include posting a 4-week schedule, with postings occurring 2 weeks prior to the start date (preferred three 12-hour shifts per week)
    • Rare floating may occur based on Emergency Department capacity; ER hold unit is required while at capacity
