Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Certified Operating Room Technician (CST) for a position based in Rochester, New York. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in various surgical procedures in a fast-paced surgical environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of service.

Job Details:

• Location: Rochester, NY
• Shift: Either 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM or 1:00 PM - 11:30 PM with flexibility to work the other shift when needed
• Schedule: 40 hours per week, with 6 weekend shifts per 8-week contract period to include weekends and holidays
• Required Qualifications: Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with NBSTSA certification; valid New York State license; minimum of 3 years of experience; proficiency with Epic electronic medical record system; experience with patient ratios of 1:1; prior charge experience preferred; travel experience required
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system, previous charge experience, and familiarity with various surgical procedures listed
• Additional Information: The role involves working in a community hospital setting with a daily census of 40-60 cases. Candidates will be expected to have knowledge of decontamination and sterilization processes, aseptic technique, sharps safety, and universal protocol procedures. Must be able to handle multiple modules and complete training as specified. Previous OR experience with a wide range of surgeries and knowledge of surgical equipment and safety procedures is essential.
• Submittal Requirements: Previous charge experience preferred; candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted; must have NY license in hand; must be eligible to float; experience in Epic EMR system is required.
