Description
Job Summary: Pediatric Clinic (Pediatrics) Madison, Wisconsin
Registered Nurse (RN) support is needed for a pediatric clinic focused on congenital heart cardiology, with coverage for both pediatric and adult patients. The role supports day shifts Monday through Friday and includes charting responsibilities. Candidates must bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shift; 8-hour shifts between 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday; minimum 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active Wisconsin RN license; Basic Life Support (BLS) required (American Heart Association (AHA) only); at least 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty being submitted for; charting experience required (charting system name provided: Community Hospital); experience working with pediatric patients required; ability to support both pediatric and adult patients when needed.
- Preferred Qualifications: Adult cardiology/cardiac care experience; adult experience preference noted; adults prioritized when pediatric-only coverage is not available.
- Additional Information: Covers pediatric and adult patients, prioritizing pediatric patients if both cannot be staffed; patients may be seen one at a time with possible rooming/training activities as applicable; interdisciplinary support is available through IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy.
- Submission Requirements: Pass/Fail testing is required with strict passing criteria. A telemetry exam is required prior to start and must be passed using the stated attempt rules and scoring criteria.
- Flu Vaccine Requirement: Flu vaccine is required, with medical or religious exemptions allowed.
