Job Summary:
A labor and delivery registered nurse (RN) position is available in Oklahoma City. The role involves providing care in a labor and birth unit at a healthcare facility that delivers 350-400 babies per month. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment. The position is scheduled for day shifts, with a 12-hour shift time.
Job Details:
- Location: Oklahoma City, OK
- Position Type: RN Labor and Delivery Department
- Schedule: Days, 3x12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Must have at least 2 years of labor experience at a hospital that delivers 350-400 babies monthly; certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS), Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); current license required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are preferred.
- Additional Information: The unit comprises approximately 15 labor beds, with some antepartum and pre/postpartum beds; patient ratios are approximately 1:1 or 2:1; equipment includes external fetal monitoring; EMR system used is EPIC; float rotation may be required to postpartum unit.
