Job Summary:
This Emergency Room (ER) or Emergency Department (ED) Float Nurse position is located in Centennial, Colorado. The role involves providing patient care in various ER/ED settings within a designated zone, with the expectation to float across multiple facilities. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend
- Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit, ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS, PALS (AHA), TNCC certifications; minimum of 2 years of ER or ED experience; location in Colorado; no minimum years of experience required for this position
- Preferred Qualifications: Not specified
- Float: Float rotation within the region's ER/ED facilities is expected; floating throughout the zone is mandatory regardless of housing location.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be in the state for the week of orientation; orientation duration is 2-3 days. This position is based in Centennial, CO, and involves working in multiple facilities within a 60-mile radius. Shifts are scheduled 4 to 6 weeks in advance, with possible float within assigned facilities. The ER handles approximately 40-168 patient visits per day, with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5 depending on acuity. All clinical staff support activities such as triage, lab testing, and monitoring equipment.
