Description

Job Summary:
This emergency room (ER) nursing position is located in Walnut Creek, California. The role involves working in a fast-paced ER environment, requiring strong critical thinking skills, experience with EPIC electronic medical records, and the ability to manage a high volume of patients. Candidates must bring their license on the first day. The shift is rotating and includes 12-hour shifts with various start times, and candidates are expected to work each listed shift.

Job Details:

  • Shift Hours: 12 hours rotating, with shifts from 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM, 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM, 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM, and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 36.0
  • Location: Walnut Creek, California
  • Required Qualifications: California license, BLS (American Heart Association only), ACLS (American Heart Association only), PALS (American Heart Association only), ENPC, NIHSS, 2+ years of recent ER experience, superior references, travel experience, EPIC experience explicitly required (work history must indicate where EPIC was used)
  • Preferred Qualifications: 3-5 years of ER experience, some trauma experience, pediatrics experience, CEN, TNCC, experience with inpatient management, and more extensive trauma background are highly preferred.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must be able to critically think and work in a fast-paced environment. The patient demographic is generally well educated and vocal about quality of care, emphasizing nursing excellence.
  • Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts from 1p-1a, 3p-3a, 5p-5a, and 7p-7a; working each shift listed.
