Description

Job Summary:
This is a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse position in Chattanooga, TN. The role involves providing specialized care in a busy labor and delivery unit, supporting a high volume of deliveries in a community hospital setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment. The position offers the opportunity to work night shifts as part of a three-shift weekly schedule.

  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
  • Certifications Required: AWHONN intermediate fetal heart monitoring, NRP, ACLS, BLS
  • Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as a Registered Nurse, 2+ years of Labor and Delivery experience, preferably including at least one travel assignment. Experience with Meditech and Centricity electronic medical records systems is preferred.
  • Schedule: 3 shifts per week; if working during the winter holidays, must be available for 1-2 days or evening shifts
  • Additional Information: The facility is a community hospital with a monthly birth volume of over 200 deliveries. It features recent renovations, advanced labor and delivery technology, and a strong collaborative team including laborists and anesthesia providers. Staff possess advanced skills such as fetal monitoring and participate in ongoing education like Spinning Babies and Supporting Vaginal Birth classes.
