Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a registered nurse (RN) for a Medical Surgical Floor position located in Weirton, West Virginia. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This role involves working 12-hour night shifts on a scheduled basis, with the possibility of weekend assignments. The position requires valid certifications and at least one year of clinical experience, although first-time travelers are also eligible to apply.

Job Details:

• Location: Weirton, West Virginia
• Shift: 12-hour nights, weekends as scheduled
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS certification, one year of clinical experience (or willing to accept first-time travelers), ability to work 12-hour night shifts and weekends, candidates must disclose licensing hits at time of submission and include a valid drivers license.
• Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience required; new graduates may be considered.
• Schedule: No self-scheduling or block scheduling; shift schedule is made by the manager. Flexibility required for shift rotations, often 2 weeks of days and 2 weeks of nights.
• Additional Information: RN may be asked to participate in holiday rotations, working holidays by rotation; PCTs do not have scheduled holidays. No call or standby requirements; floating to other units may be necessary.
• Orientation: 1 day with educator/computer system training, 1 day with a preceptor.
• Equipment and Responsibilities: Manage heart monitor application, vitals, blood glucose monitoring, EKGs, bathing, feeding, toileting, turning and positioning patients. RNs will monitor respiratory equipment like BIPAP, CPAP, high flow oxygen; RT personnel perform treatments.
• Certifications Needed: BLS certification.
• License to Submit: Yes.
