Job Summary:
A registered nurse (RN) position in the Medical Surgical Floor (M/S) is available in Tallahassee, Florida. This role involves caring for patients in a busy post-operative care unit, requiring candidates to bring their license on the first day. The position requires floating to all units within the medical surgical division and is suitable for those with prior travel experience and at least two years of clinical experience.
Job Details:
- Location: Tallahassee, Florida
- Shift Time: Nights
- Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Start Date: 07/27/2026
- Schedule: Night shift with 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Florida or Compact license, at least 2 years of clinical experience, prior travel assignment, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to all units within the medical surgical division.
- Additional Information: Candidates will undergo EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) training during orientation; testing out of training is possible. The unit is busy with high patient turnover but benefits from a supportive staff and teamwork, operating under organizational policies and procedures.
