Job Summary:
Sterile Processing Technician position Available in Santa Monica, California. This role involves providing sterile processing services within a healthcare organization to ensure the safety and readiness of surgical instruments and medical equipment. The position requires a focus on high standards of sterilization and proper handling of surgical tools, with an emphasis on adherence to hospital protocols and efficient workflow.

Job Details:

• Location: Santa Monica, California
• Start Date: 08/03/2026
• Shift Hours: 8 hours per day
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours
• Required Qualifications: Valid California license, BLS certification, 2 years of sterile processing experience, strong knowledge of sterilization procedures, proficient in using sterilization equipment and documentation systems such as Epic.
• Preferred Qualifications: Charge experience, community hospital experience, Level I or Level II trauma experience, LTAC experience.
• Additional Information: Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day). Candidates must respond to a standard pre-submission question regarding employment at Providence facilities and include references covering at least 1 year during the last 3 years.
• Special Skills and Experience: Expertise with biological indicators, chemical indicators, endoscopes (including bronchoscopes, colonoscopes, EGD scopes), scope/probe reprocessing, sterilization wrapping procedures, and use of washers/sterilizers. Knowledge of sterile processing Microsystem (SPM), Steam Sterilization Testing/Monitoring, and Sterilization wrapping procedures is required.
• Additional Requirements: LA fire card within the last 30 days.
• Travel Experience: Required.
• Certifications: BLS, IAHCSMM/HSPA.
• Submission Notes: Candidates should disclose prior employment at Providence facilities, relevant license and background check status upfront, and include two references covering one year (or six months for CNAs) within the last three years.
