Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Department Nurse Leader position available in Brattleboro, Vermont. This role involves 24/7 leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight of the Labor & Delivery unit, postpartum/newborn services, and outpatient obstetrics-gynecology clinics. Ideal candidates will ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, evidence-based care aligned with national and regulatory standards.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN); current RN or Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) license; AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM), Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); 2 years of progressive leadership experience in maternal child health preferred; experience with regulatory surveys and perinatal safety programs preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: MSN, Master of Health Administration (MHA), or related field; proficiency with Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification preferred.
  • Additional Information: The role requires providing leadership for all maternal child health operations across inpatient and outpatient areas, maintaining 24/7 operational responsibility, developing staffing plans based on AWHONN guidelines, leading quality improvement initiatives, and managing operational and capital budgets. The position begins on 07/20/2026.
