Description

Job Summary:
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cardiac Cath Lab) RN position located in Rockford, Illinois. This role involves working within a high-volume cardiology department performing procedures such as PCI, structural heart, electrophysiology studies, device implants, and acute stroke interventions. The position requires experience with STEMI patients and provides a dynamic environment with rotating day, night, and call shifts.

Job Details:

Location: Rockford, Illinois
Shift: Rotating day and night shifts, Monday through Friday, with 9-hour shifts and one rotating day off each week.
Schedule: 4x9-hour shifts per week, with rotating weekday and weekend call responsibilities.
Required Certifications: BLS Certification, ACLS, NIHSS; minimum of 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience, including STEMI procedures.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with interventional radiology (IR) and neuro interventional procedures is preferred.
Experience or Skills: Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience, STEMI patient care experience.
EMR/Equipment: Epic, Change Healthcare (formerly McKesson), Lifepak 20.
Additional Notes: Orientation tailored based on previous experience, typically involving 12 days in each procedural area.
Other Details: There is a Manager/Charge Nurse on each shift; Cath Lab Techs scrub and monitor cases. Department requires floating within the cath lab services only.
