Job Summary
Operating Room Nurse specializing in open heart procedures is needed for a facility in Iowa City, Iowa. This position involves working with a team focused on cardiothoracic, peripheral vascular, and transplant surgery, with an emphasis on scrubbing and large trauma experience. The role includes participation in a rotating schedule with on-call duties.

Job Details

• Schedule: Evenings shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, at least 2 years of strong Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) RN experience, must have scrubbing skills including specific mechanical skills checklist, large level 1 or 2 trauma experience, experience with cardiothoracic, peripheral vascular, and transplant surgeries, and scrub skills with an emphasis on heart procedures.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with OR open heart procedures and large trauma cases is preferred.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The candidate must have a comprehensive scrub skills checklist that demonstrates proficiency in scrubbing heart surgeries, and must be able to participate in a team rotation that involves on-call responsibilities once a week, including one weekend day in a 4-week cycle.
