Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse in Utica, New York. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care on a Medical Surgical unit with a focus on post-surgical patient management. The role includes floating between units as needed, with a standardized shift from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Job Details

• Location: Utica, New York
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid New York Registered Nurse license, current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification, up-to-date NURSYS license verification, at least 2 years of documented travel experience in Medical Surgical nursing, proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records, and a valid driver's license with matching address.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with common post-surgical diagnoses such as abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and morbid obesity (bariatric surgery). Familiarity with specialty equipment including IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes.
• Additional Information: The position requires float rotation. The scrub color for staff is navy blue. Candidates must include RTO (Request for Time Off) at the time of submission.
