Job Summary:
The facility is seeking a Certified Operating Room Technician for a day shift position located in Eagle Pass, Texas. The role involves assisting with surgical procedures, preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and assembling case carts. The technician will work scheduled weekdays with on-call responsibilities, requiring experience in laparoscopic hiatal hernia, endovascular, and breast oncology procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: High School diploma required; NBSTSA Certification as a surgical technologist (CST) required; at least 2 years of experience in an operating room setting; BLS certification required; good communication skills
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with laparoscopic hiatal hernia procedures, endovascular procedures, and breast oncology procedures is highly desirable
• Additional Information: Responsible for planning and preparing for surgical procedures, assisting surgeons, sterilizing surgical equipment, and assembling emergency and scheduled case carts. On-call duties are 2-3 days per week, including every other weekend. Candidate must reside at least 100 miles away from the facility.
