Description

Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Erie, Pennsylvania. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients transitioning from intensive care to standard inpatient units. The RN will supervise and collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure safe, effective, and person-centered care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to first shift, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to first shift (CIRH only), minimum of two (2) years bedside clinical experience, no specific experience requirement listed for this role.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Progressive Care Unit or similar clinical setting may be advantageous.
  • Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission and develops individualized care plans. Communicates patient status during team conferences and maintains accurate documentation. Participates in patient rehabilitation and discharge planning, providing patient teaching and family education. Provides supervision and direction to ancillary staff, delegates appropriately, and ensures safety standards. Engages in ongoing professional development and participates in team activities to foster a positive work environment. Assumes charge responsibility following orientation and manages patient care priorities effectively.
