Job Summary:
The emergency room nursing position is located in a Level I trauma center in Miami. The role involves providing high-acuity care in a fast-paced adult and pediatric emergency department. The facility features extensive capacity, including numerous exam, triage, fast-track, and observation rooms, as well as onsite radiology and pharmacy services. The RN will be responsible for handling complex patient admissions and will work every other weekend or alternating weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Details:

• Location: Miami, FL
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Florida or Compact licensure, minimum of 2 years of emergency room experience, prior experience in a Level I trauma facility, Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience, ALCS, BLS, and CPI certifications required prior to start, must pass EKG exam during orientation, and must have at least 2 years of experience in a high-acuity ER setting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience in a Level I trauma setting.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The facility features approximately 60 exam rooms, 4 resuscitation rooms, 6 triage rooms, 12 fast-track rooms, 50 observation rooms, and 7 acute care rooms. There is onsite radiology including MRI, CT, X-ray, ultrasound, and a pharmacy to facilitate faster patient care.
