Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse Miami, FL. This position involves providing high-acuity, fast-paced adult and pediatric emergency care within a level I trauma facility. The nurse will be responsible for handling admission work, performing EKG exams during orientation, and working every other weekend or alternating weekends and holidays. Prior travel experience in a level I trauma environment and proficiency with the Cerner electronic medical record are required.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Florida or compact license, 2+ years of ER experience, prior travel experience in a level I trauma facility, Cerner EMR experience, completion of EMR certification, ACLS, BLS, and CPI certifications prior to start, successful passing of EKG exam during orientation, must handle admission work for boarded patients, and scrub colors to be royal blue
• Preferred Qualifications: Level I trauma experience, experience handling high-acuity patients, and familiarity with adult and pediatric emergency department protocols
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: The ER features 60 exam rooms, 4 resuscitation rooms, 6 triage rooms, and 12 fast-track rooms designed to improve patient flow. The second-floor patient care area includes observation and acute care rooms. Onsite radiology suite with MRI, CT, X-ray, and ultrasound, as well as an on-site pharmacy, are available to facilitate rapid patient care.
