Description

Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) registered nurse position is located in Nampa, Idaho. This role involves providing specialized care in a busy obstetrics unit, supporting mothers through labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care. The position requires collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to deliver top-quality maternal and newborn services in accordance with established clinical standards.

Job Details:

  • Shift: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with weekends as needed and float requirements across multiple sites in the Treasure Valley area.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS, BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications; minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery; current RN license applicable in Idaho; and must be willing to work 48 hours per week.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with mother-baby care, delivering babies, attending deliveries, and managing postpartum patients. Experience with magnesium, charge nurse responsibilities, and familiarity with titratable drips such as Pitocin, magnesium, and insulin are preferred.
  • Additional Information: The role involves assisting with obstetric protocols, supporting diverse patient populations, and participating in unit orientation consisting of 4 shifts. The unit operates under AWHONN staffing standards, with a focus on safety and clinical excellence. Utilization of the Centricity charting system is required, and staff must adhere to hospital dress code and policies. There is a no fingernail lacquer policy due to NICU integration, and traveling RNs will need to bring two cars for site flexibility.
