Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Step Down Unit located in Golden, Colorado. This comprehensive role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical tasks within a 32-bed unit that manages more acute patients and drips. The RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, as well as providing health teaching, counseling, and executing medical treatments in accordance with accepted standards.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three shifts per week, with weekends required, and minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license in the state of practice, BLS (American Heart Association) certification, ACLS (American Heart Association) certification, one (1) year of nursing experience, education including ASN from an accredited nursing school or higher preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience as a Registered Nurse, especially in a step-down or progressive care setting.
• Skills & Competencies: Nursing care, health assessment, health teaching, health counseling, therapy and treatment planning, medical functions execution, patient referral, monitoring therapy and treatment plans, documentation, resource utilization, mission promotion, floating to other departments, on-call availability.
• Additional Information: The position requires flexibility to float within scope of competency and to be placed on-call during scheduled shifts. Candidates should be capable of independently managing complex patient care and collaborating effectively within a team.
