Job Summary:
Operating Room Nurse in Chicago, Illinois. This position involves providing perioperative nursing care in a busy surgical unit, supporting a variety of surgical procedures including general, gynecology, urology, ENT, vascular, spinal, dental, and complex surgeries. The role entails collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.

Job Details:

• Shift: Days, 10 hours shift time, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Start Date: 08/10/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS certification, minimum of 0 years of experience, located in Illinois or willing to relocate within the state.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience circulating in ENT and orthopedic surgeries, scrub experience highly preferred.
• Support within the Department: Unit secretary support; charge nurse may take assignments; resource nurse available; RT available 24/7; hospitalist available 24/7; intensivist available 24/7.
• Technology/Equipment: EMR system EPIC; IV pumps Alaris; medication dispensing via Pyxis.
• Orientation: Hospital orientation plus one shift on the unit.
• Scheduling: Weekend rotation includes call only; availability for 2-3 times per week and one weekend call per month required; response time expectations apply.
• Other Notes: Scrub color provided; free parking available.
