Description
Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Float registered nurse position in Tallahassee, Florida. This role involves floating across all ICU and Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) units with a focus on providing specialized patient care in a trauma level 2 and teaching facility that functions as a designated Comprehensive Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center. The position requires adherence to hospital protocols, including mandatory Electronic Pediatric Heart Monitor (EPIC) training during orientation.
Job Details:
- Location: Tallahassee, Florida.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid licensure in Florida or a compact license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, a minimum of 2 years of relevant specialty experience, and prior travel experience is not required.
- Preferred Qualifications: CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) certification.
- Additional Information: Travelers will float to all ICU and IMCU units. Every other weekend availability is required, but there are no call requirements. No local candidates for ICU units due to a 50-mile radius rule. Prior travel experience is not mandatory. During orientation, EPIC training is required; testers will have the opportunity to test out of the training session, with full training required if testing is unsuccessful.
