Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical Nurse is needed for a position on a med surg unit located in Tallahassee, Florida. This role involves working on a busy oncology medical-surgical division with a requirement for floating across various units within the division. The position is scheduled for night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting August 10, 2026. The ideal candidate will have prior travel experience, at least two years of clinical practice, and phlebotomy skills.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 36 hours per week, starting 08/10/2026
• Required Qualifications: Valid Florida or compact Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS certification, minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, prior travel experience with at least one assignment, phlebotomy skills, and EPIC training during orientation.
• Preferred Qualifications: ACLS and bio/chemo certifications.
• Float: Float rotation may be required across all units within the medical-surgical division.
• Additional Information: No local candidates for this role; a 50 mile radius rule applies. No block scheduling or holiday RTO is permitted. No travel pairs for Medical Surgical or Telemetry units unless specifically requested. No more than 7 consecutive days of RTO, and any RTO exceeding 4 days requires manager approval. This facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center, designated Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Chest Pain Center with 772 beds, and a 1:5-6 nurse to patient ratio.
