Description
Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Carlsbad, New Mexico. This role involves providing critical patient care in a Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department. The RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering timely care to patients, demonstrating leadership and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Location: Carlsbad, NM 88220
- Position: Emergency Room (ER) RN
- Start Date: 08/17/2026
- Schedule: Nights, 6:30pm - 7:00am; 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Number of Positions: 1
- Required Qualifications: 2+ years of ER RN experience, ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, & ENPC certifications; NRP preferred; fingerprinting required for all travelers registered with the state of New Mexico.
- Additional Information:
- Call requirement: minimum 2 hours prior to shift start
- Patient ratio: 4:1
- Floating and call required
- Scrub color: None - full uniform
- EMR: MedHost (EDIS)
- No blocked scheduling, 48-hour guarantees, or RTO approval.
- RTO blackout dates: 1 summer and 1 winter, dependent on department needs.
- Shift accountability includes providing safe patient care per state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
- The RN must perform thorough assessments, administer medications, monitor side effects, and document patient care accurately.
