Description

Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse located in Burlingame, California. This position involves providing specialized patient care within a multi-unit inpatient setting, supporting float assignments across ICU, step-down, telemetry, and medical-surgical units. The role requires a dedicated nursing professional to deliver high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 3 nights per week, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid California RN licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, at least 4 years of nursing experience including float experience in ICU, step-down, telemetry, and medical-surgical units, with proficiency in charting system Epic.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, advanced certifications related to ICU care, and experience with complex patient populations such as post-cardiac surgery or neurological patients.
  • Float: Float to all inpatient units on the medical-surgical side, including ICU, step-down, telemetry, and med-surg units may be required.
  • Additional Information: The position involves supporting multidisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and social services. The unit cares for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses such as post-cardiac surgery, stroke, sepsis, and DKA, utilizing specialized procedures and equipment like CRRT, ECMO, Impella, IABP, and ventilator management. Candidates must complete required onboarding modules and provide valid documentation including licensure and certifications.
