Description
Job Summary:
Radiation Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) position in Bronx, New York. This role involves delivering specialized patient-centered care to oncology patients undergoing radiation therapy within an ambulatory clinic setting. The RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess patient needs, administer treatments, and provide education to patients and families to ensure safe and effective cancer care.
Job Details:
- Shift Time: Days
- Schedule: 7.5 hours per shift, minimum of 37.5 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: NY RN license, BLS certification, Oncology experience, Radiation Oncology experience, Brachytherapy experience, PALS certification; minimum 2 years of experience; location in Bronx, NY, with the ability to submit license
- Preferred Qualifications: BSN or specialty certification (preferred but not required)
- Additional Information: This RN position involves providing specialized nursing care to oncology patients undergoing radiation treatment. Responsibilities include assessing patients, managing side effects, educating patients and families, monitoring responses to therapy, and collaborating with radiation oncologists and interdisciplinary teams. The role supports quality care delivery, patient advocacy, evidence-based practice, and regulatory compliance.
