Description
Registered Nurse - Cancer Center Infusion
Location: New York, NY
Employment Type: Acute Nursing
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday, no weekends
Hours: Approximately 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week
Work Setting: Central office-based (not at a cancer facility) with required travel to select healthcare facilities
Job Description
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver evidence-based educational programs and competency validation for oncology nursing staff
- Collaborate with nurse leadership, clinical specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to support orientation, professional development, and continuing education
- Monitor compliance with oncology-specific regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards, including Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) guidelines, chemotherapy/immunotherapy certification, and competency requirements
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York with primary source verification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of infusion experience, including infusion experience within the last year
- Medical-surgical nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Current Chemotherapy & Immunotherapy Certification
- Phlebotomy skills
