Job Summary
Renal Dialysis Nurse specializing in inpatient dialysis care is needed at a teaching healthcare facility located in Tallahassee, Florida. This position involves providing dialysis services within a busy inpatient unit, requiring prior travel experience and a strong background in dialysis procedures. The role emphasizes clinical excellence in hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis with a focus on patient-centered care.
Job Details
- Schedule: 9-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with call responsibilities 4 days a week and every other weekend required. Minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Florida license (or compact license), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, a minimum of 4 years of clinical experience, including 2 years of acute inpatient dialysis experience. Prior travel experience is required. Teaching hospital experience is also required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic medical record systems, prior experience with training testing, and proficiency in both hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis procedures.
- Additional Information: Training on electronic medical records system is required during the second half of the day at orientation. Candidates will have the opportunity to test out of training; those who do not pass will complete the full training before being assigned to their unit.
