Description
Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse position is available in Louisville, Kentucky. The role involves providing high-quality patient care within a 16-bed unit that manages general medical and surgical diagnoses, including care for patients with trach tubes, chest tubes, and other specialized equipment. The position requires a minimum of one year of experience and is scheduled for night shifts, with the potential to float to similar units as needed.

- Location: Louisville, Kentucky
- Shift Time: Nights
- Shift Hours: 12 hours
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 48 hours
- Start Date: 08/17/2026
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS certification, NIHSS certification, minimum of 1 year of experience, appropriate license and certifications for handling trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, CBI, non-titratable drip
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours, with weekend rotation every third week
- Float: Float rotation may be required to similar units
- Orientation: Total of 5 days of orientation on the facility and unit
- Support Within the Department: PCA/CNA, unit secretary, charge nurse
- Technology/Equipment: Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, IV pumps (Plum ICU Medical), medication dispensing system (Omnicell), unit-specific equipment including WOW, point-of-care glucose testing
- Additional Information: Must have skills in trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, CBI, non-titratable drip. Free badge access parking lot.
