Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse specializing in obstetric care, located in Nampa, Idaho. This role involves providing comprehensive care for maternity patients across various stages, including labor, postpartum, and triage. The position requires collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and quality maternal and neonatal outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week, starting on 08/17/2026.
  • Required Qualifications: State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), ACLS certification, BLS certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, STABLE certification, and a minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Mother-baby experience of at least 1 year, charge nurse experience preferred, experience with magnesium infusion, ability to attend deliveries, complete newborn care, and circulate cesarean sections.
  • Duties: Providing postpartum couplet care, managing triage assessments, assisting with deliveries, stabilizing newborns, and performing physical evaluations within the first 2 hours of birth. Willingness to float across all St. Lukes Treasure Valley sites, including Meridian, Nampa, and Boise.
  • Additional Information:
    • Serves a diverse patient population, including pregnant patients with hypertension, gestational conditions, and those receiving medical interventions.
    • Must be comfortable titrating drips such as Pitocin, magnesium, and insulin, with protocols in place.
    • Includes responsibility for emergency response, collaborating with OB hospitalists, Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, anesthesiology, and respiratory therapy.
    • Orientation includes 4 shifts on unit, and compliance with EPIC charting is required prior to start.
    • Scrub attire issued by the hospital, code of no acrylic or gel nails, and adherence to a 50-mile radius policy from the candidate's permanent address are mandatory.
