Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) in Shelby, North Carolina. This position involves providing high-quality care to patients during labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal periods. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment, managing patient needs with a focus on safety and comfort.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active BLS, ACLS, EFM, and NRP certifications; two (2) years of experience in Labor and Delivery; ability to work in an LDRP setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with labor management, cesarean section circulation, resuscitation of newborns, Pitocin and epidural management, and familiarity with fetal monitoring technology.
- Float: Float rotation may be required within region, including facilities in Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, and the Central Division, as needed and within scope of practice.
- Additional Information: Orientation includes two days of departmental NEO training. The unit operates with team-based culture emphasizing teamwork, with hospital-issued scrub colors in green, free parking, and support from charge nurses, resource nurses, and hospitalist staff 24/7. This role may involve low census call, holiday work (75%), and the possibility of call-backs during night and day shifts.
