Job Summary:
Telemetry Nurse for a healthcare provider in Tallahassee, Florida. This position involves providing patient care within a Telemetry unit in a designated comprehensive stroke center and chest pain center. The role requires floating to all units within the medical-surgical division, ensuring adaptable and comprehensive patient support.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Florida or compact license, BLS certification, EPIC experience, at least 2 years of clinical experience with a minimum of 2 years of acute medical-surgical telemetry experience, prior travel experience with at least one travel assignment, and orientation every Monday.
• Preferred Qualifications: AHA ACLS certification, NIHSS certification.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: No locals or travel pairs are accepted for Telemetry units per location policies. Block scheduling, holiday RTO, or more than 7 consecutive days of RTO are not permitted. EPIC training is required during the second half of the day at orientation, with testing opportunities available. If testing is not passed, full training is mandatory before unit assignment. The unit has a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 and functions within a Level 2 Trauma Center, a designated comprehensive stroke, and chest pain center.
