Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Hendersonville, North Carolina. This position involves coordinating and delivering patient care in the labor and delivery department within a hospital setting. The nurse will adhere to hospital standards and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the safety and well-being of mothers and newborns.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 3 12-hour shifts per week, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina or a compact state by the day of clinical care. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring are required.
- Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year of experience working as a registered nurse in an acute care or inpatient hospital setting in labor and delivery.
- Additional Information: The position involves administering patient care under the supervision of physicians, collaborating with care teams, assessing patient needs, and ensuring adherence to safety and infection control standards. Competency in all required skills must be maintained through annual assessments, and training opportunities will be provided as needed.
