Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Oak Lawn, Illinois. This position involves providing high-quality perioperative care within a busy healthcare facility that specializes in a wide range of surgical procedures. The role requires adaptability to various case types and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Job Details:

• Location: 4440 West 95th Street, Oak Lawn, IL 60453
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting 08/31/2026
• Required Qualifications: Valid license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, at least 2-3 years of acute care experience (unless specialized hybrid tech, then 3 years of hybrid experience), critical care experience preferred, experience with EPIC electronic medical records system, trauma experience at a level 1-2 facility, able to scrub and circulate in the operating room.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in cardiac, vascular, neuro, and pediatric cases; familiarity with Siemens equipment; experience with hybrid operating rooms.
• Support within the Department: Charge nurse (no patient assignment, available for assistance), bedside monitoring by anesthesiologists, resource nurse, surgeons (with preference cards), anesthesia educators, service line reps, EPIC super-user.
• Technology/Equipment: EPIC electronic medical records, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing systems.
• Orientation: Day 1 includes meeting educators, gaining login access, online modules, and EPIC training. Days 2-3 involve unit orientation.
• Scheduling: Will be assigned based on rotation; no self-scheduling allowed. Open 24/7; shifts include days, evenings, and nights with a typical rotation every 4 weeks.
• Additional Notes: Uniform scrubs provided; free parking available. Holiday coverage required; on-call responses within 30 minutes.
• Float: No floating specified unless required by department needs.
