Description
Job Summary:
Emergency Room Pediatric (ER PEDS) in Tacoma, Washington. This position involves providing specialized pediatric emergency care within a busy facility. The role supports a team-oriented environment with a focus on delivering quality patient care in a dynamic setting, starting on October 5, 2026.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shift with 12 hours per shift and a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid certifications including TNCC, PALS, BLS, CPI or MOAB; 1.5 years minimum experience in pediatric emergency department care with at least 6 months of triage and trauma experience; General pediatric emergency care, mental health, trauma, and triage experience required; location in Tacoma, Washington; 1.5 years of experience in ER PEDS preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in pediatric trauma and mental health care.
- Additional Information: The role supports a 35-bed Emergency Department with 21 ER beds and a third floor for fast tracks and surgical suites. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:3 at standard acuity and 1:6 at lower acuity; tech to patient ratio is 1:8. Support staff available 24/7. EMR system used is Epic.
