Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Pediatric ED position requiring at least 1.5 years of pediatric ED experience with trauma and triage skills.

Details

  • Work in the Pediatric Emergency Department of a children's hospital
  • Unit includes 35 beds total, with 21 ER beds plus a 3rd floor area for fast tracks and surgical suite
  • Standard acuity nurse to patient ratio of 1:3, with 1:6 for lower acuity patients
  • Tech to patient ratio of 1:8
  • 24/7 support staff available
  • Uses Epic EMR system
  • 12-hour rotating shifts totaling 36 hours per week

Requirements

  • Active RN license (WA state or compact) currently in hand
  • Current certifications: BLS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI or MOAB
  • Minimum 1.5 years of pediatric ED experience required
  • At least 6 months of triage and trauma experience required
  • General pediatric ED care experience required
  • Mental health care experience required

Additional Information

  • Provide pediatric emergency care including triage and trauma management
  • Work alongside a 24/7 support staff team
