Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Princeton, West Virginia. This position involves providing specialized care within the labor and delivery department of a healthcare facility. The role requires overseeing patient care for women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, ensuring compliance with all relevant quality standards, and participating in performance improvement activities.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, 5 years of RN experience with at least 2 years in management or leadership roles, current ACLS, BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), PALS, and TNCC certifications.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in labor and delivery, acute care setting, or related specialties is advantageous.
  • Clinical Responsibilities: Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operations of Nursing and Patient Care Areas within the labor and delivery department. Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards across all age groups, from infants to geriatrics. Maintains performance improvement initiatives and participates in continuous quality improvement activities. Ensures competency among nursing personnel and assists in budget formulation and departmental operations within compliance standards.
  • Additional Information: The position operates primarily Monday through Friday, with potential evening or weekend calls due to the departments 24/7 operational needs. All submissions must include a copy of the candidates unexpired drivers license, and licensing hits must be disclosed at the time of submission. Candidate must work within a 100-mile radius of the specified location.
