Description
Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Clarksville, Tennessee. This position involves providing specialized nursing care within a 14-bed labor and delivery unit. The role requires flexibility to meet staffing needs, and the nurse will be responsible for circulating and managing patient care during shifts scheduled primarily for nights.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, prior travel nursing experience, ability to circulate in the unit, current BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), Fetal Monitoring certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and a multistate RN license on file at the time of submission
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in labor and delivery, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication skills
- Float: Float to Helping Hands in NICU and Post Partum may be required depending on staffing needs.
- Additional Information: Orientation dates are scheduled for 9/14, 9/21, and 9/28 with an emphasis on September start dates. No time off approved from 9/19-10/17 due to Epic Go Live. The unit makes its own schedule and supports a patient population expecting delivery. The facility utilizes Cerner and GE Centricity electronic medical records systems. The team operates with nurse to patient ratios of 1:1-2. Scrubs will be provided.
