Description
Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Medical Nurse position in Plano, Texas. This role involves providing expert care in a high-acuity ICU / Critical Care Unit environment. The candidate will be responsible for managing complex patient cases, performing critical procedures, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid active Registered Nurse (RN) license, minimum of 2 years of hospital experience, 2+ years of specialty ICU experience, proof of BLS and ACLS certifications in submission packet. No RTO or special scheduling requests accepted.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with MEDITECH electronic health record system, TNCC, CCRN, or TCRN certifications.
- Additional Information:
- Assignment length: 13 weeks, with start date on 08/17/2026.
- Unit specifics include a 36-bed Critical Care Unit with a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio.
- Staffing includes a supervisor on every shift and patient care technicians.
- Procedures performed on this unit include central line insertions, arterial line placements, thoracotomies, bedside tracheostomies, and chest tube insertions.
- Dress code: RN attire must be royal blue scrubs; artificial nails or gel nails are not permitted; hair must be neat and pulled back if shoulder length or longer; tattoos should be covered; visible piercings other than earrings are prohibited.
