Description
Job Summary:
The operating room nurse position is located in a healthcare facility specializing in surgical services. This role involves providing patient care in an operating room setting, supporting multiple specialties including orthopedics, neuro/spine, robotics, plastics, and trauma. The position requires flexibility to work day shifts with on-call responsibilities, within a busy, 24/7 staffed unit.
Job Details:
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: No minimum years of experience required
- Schedule: Day shift with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Candidates must have valid certifications in the relevant nursing discipline and current licensure. No experience requirement specified.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in neuro/spine, orthopedics, robotics, plastics, or trauma is preferred.
- Additional Information: The unit operates 24/7 with staff working 10- and 12-hour shifts. Call shifts are required, with options for overnight coverage. Typical patient ratios are 1:1, and the unit is equipped with Meditech electronic medical records. Staff work in scrubs in designated colors, with policies available upon request.
