Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position available in Rockford, Illinois. This role involves providing perioperative care in a busy surgical department, supporting a variety of specialties including general, gynecology, urology, plastics, robotics, neuro, orthopedic, spine, ENT, and cardiothoracic surgeries. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of OR nursing experience and be proficient in scrubbing duties. The schedule is based on 8-hour shifts primarily during nights, with call responsibilities approximately once per week and every third to fourth weekend.
Job Details:
- Location: Rockford, Illinois
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts with various start times, primarily during night hours (22:45-07:15), Monday through Friday
- Required Qualifications: BLS certification, current Illinois RN licensure or confirmation that the application process has been initiated, at least 3 years of OR nursing experience, scrubbing required for RNs
- Experience or 'Must have' skills: Minimum of 3 years of operating room nursing experience, proficiency in scrubbing duties, experience with Epic electronic charting system
- Certifications: BLS (AHA)
- Additional Information:
- Local rate applies to clinicians with permanent addresses within 50 miles of the facility
- OSF call-off policy requires 12 hours' notice every 13 weeks with no penalty
- Orientation involves 12 hours of non-billable hours; no guaranteed hours during orientation
- Scrubs are provided; casual professional attire acceptable for entering and leaving the facility
- No float rotation required
- Shift requires adhering to the provided dress code and orientation period of 1 week before full duties commence
- The facility offers a trauma Level 1 certification setting and acute care environment
