Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Tallahassee, Florida. This position involves providing specialized circulating nursing services within a dynamic surgical environment. The role requires flexibility to float to various specialty pods, with a focus on heavy robotic and trauma cases, supporting a high-volume, trauma level 2 teaching facility.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, with minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS and FL or compact state licensure; EPIC experience; minimum of 3 years of OR experience with at least 2 travel assignments; experience in orthopedics, neurology, trauma, general, gynecology, vascular, urology, and robotics; ACLS and CNOR preferred
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with open heart surgery; strong robotic and trauma background essential
- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: Orientation occurs every Monday, including EPIC training session. Candidates will rotate through all specialty centers based on strengths. No scrub experience required. Candidates must have experience circulating in various specialties, with heavy trauma and robotic case experience being nonnegotiable. The facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center with comprehensive stroke and chest pain accreditation, consisting of 772 beds across multiple units. Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1 per shift.
