Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in GRAND JUNCTION, Colorado. This position entails performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, as well as providing health teaching and counseling. The nurse will execute delegated medical functions, monitor therapy and treatment plans, and document in compliance with regulatory guidelines. Flexibility to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications may be required, along with potential on-call responsibilities during scheduled shifts.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shift: 3-12 hour Mid/Nights - Variable shift; Weekends: Yes; Hours per week: 36 hours
  • Required Qualifications: - ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) - Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing - Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice - BLS (American Heart Association) certification - ACLS (American Heart Association) certification - PALS (American Heart Association) certification - TNCC certification - NIHSS certification - Minimum 1 year of experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree of Nursing - ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification - Previous experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Skills: - Nursing care - Health data assessment - Health teaching - Health counseling - Therapy and treatment
  • Additional Information: - May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need. - May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
