Job Summary:
The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity cardiac center. This role involves managing post-procedure, post-surgical, and medically complex patients with a focus on safety, communication, and collaboration within an experienced team. The position requires adaptability and a commitment to excellent patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Location: The healthcare provider is seeking a Nurse for a progressive care unit specializing in cardiac patients, located within a facility equipped with advanced monitoring and life support equipment.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); minimum of 1-year current acute care experience in a Progressive Care Unit or similar hospital setting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing chest tubes, pacer wires, 12-lead EKGs, oxygen therapy including BIPAP and heated high-flow devices; medication drips such as heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, dobutamine, milrinone, ketamine.
• Additional Information: The role involves procedures like post-cardiac catheterization care, thoracic surgery recovery, post-open heart surgery care, and vascular surgery recovery.
